Steven Gerrard used to Snog Ugly Girls for his Teammates

According to The Sun Newspaper report 28-year-old Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has admitted that when he was single and out with the lads he would “take one for the team” meaning he would chat up the “ugly pal” of a gaggle of beauties so his fellow Liverpool players could pull them.
Steven Gerrard who got married to blonde model Alex Curran in 2007, said that he was a “spotty” youngster and was often the one to end up with the “not so pretty” girl.
Speaking Liverpool legend Phil Babb in an interview, Gerrard said, “I used to have to take one for the team! I had a really spotty face when I was younger. But since then it’s fair to say my standards have got a lot higher!”
When Gerrard got his first game for Liverpool in November 1998 he was playing alongside the likes of Robbie Fowler, David James, Phil Babb, Michael Owen, Jamie Redknapp and Paul Ince.
Liverpool fan Grant Grahams, 39, said he was glad to hear that Gerrard had been put through his paces as a youngster.
He said: “Well done on Stevie saying he used to snog the ugly birds so his mates could cop off. It just goes to show that even someone like Stevie Gerrard has had to go through the old traditions of pulling the porker so his mates could get the babes.”
The urban dictionary defines ‘taking one for the team’ as ‘An act where one brave soul in your group of male friends hits on the nottie of a group of hotties so his friends can get their slide on later on that night’.
