Glen Johnson made an excellent debut for Liverpool during the 2-1 loss against Tottenham Hotspur, and followed it with a stellar performance against Stoke City in their 4-0 victory.

Currently, the Reds’ captain has praised the full return of his good passes in a red jersey.

“We saw what this team will provide Glen with the winning run in the Spurs penalty,” Gerrard is quoted as saying on FIFA.com.

“He cut inside and left people for dead. He showed similar against Stoke and was awaiting the right for us.”

The 24-year-old signed for the Merseyside club after an offer of around £18 million was agreed with Portsmouth earlier in the summer.
