A poll coducted by Tribalfootball.com regarding who is better choice to replace John Terry for the England captaincy.

According to the poll Readers prefer Steven Gerrard for the captaincy rather than Manchester United’s Rio Ferdinand who replaced John Terry during this week.

England manager Fabio Capello stripped John Terry of the mantle after news emerged over his affair with ex-Chelsea teammate Wayne Bridge’s former girlfriend and immediately installed Ferdinand to lead England.

But tribalfootball.com readers believe Gerrard would be a better leader for the nation to compete in FIFA World Cup 2010 which kicks off in June this year.

According to Poll Steven Gerrard got 65% of votes compared with Ferdinand’s 35%.
