Its been reported Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid FC and Jorge Valdano, the clubs technical director have once again eyeing for Liverpool Captain Steven Gerrard for next season. Spanish giants Real Madrid are planning a £30million bid for Steven Gerrard.
A source inside Real Madrid club told The Sun: “It’s no secret Gerrard is a player Perez and technical director Jorge Valdano admire. There is a shortlist for next season and Gerrard is the first name on it.”
However, earlier this year in January Gerrard said that he was not interested in leaving Liverpool for Real Madrid when the subject came up. Steven Gerrard was also very nearly left to join Chelsea in 2005 but made a last minute decision not to join and remain at Anfield.
Last summer Liverpool lost midfielder Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid when he moved from Anfield in a deal worth £28.8 million.
After this report Liverpool fans will now be crossing their fingers that they don’t lose their captain. However, there isn’t anything said by Steven Gerrard himself, yet.
Just wait and See….
