Fernando Torres
Its been confirmed that Fernando Torres is out of action for atleast two weeks due to an ongoin groin injury. Torres had been playing through pain to boost his club’s performances.

Liverpool Manager told reporters: “We are talking of two or three weeks out now for Fernando. He has worked hard in training, and we felt he would be okay for the match against Birmingham City. But you could see that he was not right.”

Rafael Benitez also touched upon the subject of the injury that has troubled the Liverpool’s talismanic captain Steven Gerrard in recent times. The skipper had missed a fortnight’s training before coming on as a substitute in the game against Birmingham at Anfield.

He added: “Steven Gerrard looked okay after his groin problems, physically he was fine. We will have to see how the injury reacts but he brought us quality and passion, and I hope that we can now manage his problems better.”
