Its been confirmed that Liverpool has to challenge for the league title without their inspiring captain Steven Gerrard, who could also miss the trip to Hull City four days after the Arsenal match.
The news come as a major blow to the Reds’ fans as they may have to win every remaining game this season to stand a chance to win Barclays Premier League.
A Liverpool Spokesman confirmed on saturday, “In the training session before the Champions League game at Chelsea, Steven Gerrard unfortunately aggravated a small strain he had previously suffered in his adductor muscle. A scan has since confirmed our medical team’s initial diagnosis and the player is expected to be out for between seven and 10 days.”
“In the meantime, Steven will continue to receive intensive treatment on the injury at Melwood.” Spokesman added.
Liverpool to play against Arsenal on Tuesday for Premier League Title.
