England manager Fabio Capello confirmed that Steven Gerrard will not play against Belarus for Worldcup qualifier 2010 today at Wembley. And possibly returning to liverpool for treatment on the groin injury.

Fabio Capello told reporters: “He didn’t finish training because the pain was the same as yesterday so he is going back to Liverpool”.

Steven Gerrard unable to finish the training session with England team yesterday. He walked off with the physiotherapist, Gary Lewin, midway through the session while the rest of the squad carried on.

Its also been said He could also be forced to miss Liverpool’s game at Sunderland saturday. Lyon in the Champions League three days later and then Manchester United the following weekend in a crucial period for Rafael Benítez’s side.
